EzWeb Monitor is an internet
filter, parental control software. It allows you to
monitor Web links. With EzWeb Monitor you can block
unwanted websites, it can be used extensively at home,
in schools and offices. It also can be installed on
the shared computer or Windows
Terminal Server.
You can also easily customize
blocked websites, blocked words which you don't want
to see.

- Operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows
XP (not Windows 95/98/Me)
- Disk space: 20 MB of available hard disk space and
additional free space for database files
- Required MDAC 2.8 and Jet 4.0 for database: You
can find the MDAC 2.8 and Jet 4.0 installation files
on the Microsoft
Download Center website. Install MDAC 2.8 and
Jet 4.0 then reboot your computer.

| How
to Install |
|
- Download the setup file from the B&A Solutions
web site at www.bnasolutions.com.
- Run the file named "ezWMsetup.exe".
- Follow the steps in the Installation Wizard.
- EzWeb Monitor runs automatically When your computer
starts up.
Uninstall
: To remove EzWeb Monitor from your computer
- Run Uninstall EzWeb Monitor from Windows Start menu
-> Programs -> EzWeb Monitor.
- You can also uninstall the software through the
Windows Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs).

| Getting Started |

After Installation:
1. Type xxx in a search engine, the browser will
be closed by EzWeb Monitor.
2. Go to Windows Start -> Programs -> EzWeb
Monitor.
3. Select "EzWeb Monitor". The password
dialog appears.
4. Set password for administrator, Once a password
has been set, you must supply it to access the program.
You are now the administrator of EzWeb Monitor.

Enter the password and then Click "OK".
The EzWeb Monitor Main Window will appear on the
screen. The Main Window controls internet filter
settings, options and delete logs.

- To show the main window,double click on the tray
icon or select EzWeb Monitor from windows start menu
-> Programs -> EzWeb Monitor.
- EzWeb Monitor keeps a complete log of all web sites
visited.
- You can always view the log within a specific date
range.
- Click "Search" to view a compete list
of the visited sites, whether blocked or not. The
list contains also the time of visit for each website.
Double clicking an url item in the list will open
the URL in your current internet browser.
- Blocked websites that have been visited have a
stop icon
.
- To remove logs from the list, select records and
click the trash icon. The deleted records are logged
in a file called ezWebDelLog.xls in EzWeb Moniter
Installed folder.

- To add or remove the blocked websites and blocked
words, Click "Filter Settings".
- You can export the records in the list. Click "Export
Report".
- To hide main window, Click "Close Window".
- To exit administrator, Click "Exit Administrator".

you can change the admin password.

You can block unwanted websites
by adding the website or entering keywords. This will
make sure that any site with a particular URL or a URL
containing particular words will be blocked 
- To add a site to the Blocked websites, select or
type the web address for the site that you want to
restrict, and then click "Add". Repeat this
step if you want to add other sites to the Blocked
Websits.
- To remove a web site in the blocked websites, select
a web address and then click "Remove".
- To add a blocked word to the Blocked words, type
a word you want to block and click "Add".
- To remove a blocked word, select a word in the blocked
words and click "Remove".
- Click "OK".

When
someone access to the blocked website, the following dialog
box will appear on the desktop screen.
The website will be blocked and
the browser also will be closed.

| Options |
- Remove Logs: The log files for the Website can consume
a large amount of disk space. To conserve disk space,
it is removed automatically if the count is greater
than what you specify.
- Clear Internet Temporary Files, History and Recycle
Bin : You may want to clear out the Internet Temporary
files stored in your cache and Recycle Bin to free
up some space on your computer. This option automatically
removes browser history, internet temporary files
and recycle bin contents after the program starts.
- Show URLs: To view detailed page information, select
"Full name". The default selection is "Domain
name only".
- Show warning message when the website is blocked
: To hide the warning message, uncheck this option.
- Show tray icon : To hide the tray icon, uncheck
this option. To open the main window, select EzWeb
Monitor from Windows Start menu -> Programs.
